Imperial Star Destroyer Service

To serve in the Imperial Starfleet is a great honor in itself, but to serve onboard one of the massive Imperial Star Destroyers is considered to be the ultimate challenge by many career going officers.

Any Naval Imperial officer regardless of rank and branch can now apply for service in one of the many ISD squadrons currently in production, or if the qualifications are in order onboard one of the 25.000 Imperator Class Destroyers in active service.

We at the Imperial Naval Command are especially looking for young officers with the potential and qualifications needed in key positions on the ship's bridge and among the Captain's closest staff.

The bridge of the ISD is the hart of the impressive ship. From here the officers have direct command and control over more than 35.000 onboard crew members, and along with the ship's Captain they share an enormous responsibility.

To keep the ship operational and ready for combat at all times the officers must keep a constant observation on the status displays for the engines, main power generators, weapon emplacements, deflector shields and so forth.

Ships of this dimension are literally gigantic military cities and bases of operations. There are only few other ships in the galaxy that can challenge the ISD one on one and stand a fair chance of winning. Also a single ISD can effectively barricade a medium sized populated planet with a smaller military force.

The Imperator Class ships also posses some of the most advanced and sophisticated sensor, scanner and communication equipment available. Each ship is build with a hyperspace transmitter / receiver and has Holo-Net access.

Far from all officers are stationed on the bridge level. Most are assigned to duties elsewhere among the many areas of engineering, hangar control, maintenance, living levels, shuttle service and security zones.

Security has a very high priority onboard the ISDs. There is a large number of security officers and elite trained Navy Trooper Guards stationed around the ship. In most areas of the ship it is required that personnel register before entering.

You can also be stationed in the docking and hanger areas, and be set in charge of the state and the maintenance of several shuttles, transports, starfighters and other support craft. If you are successful in your work you might even be given flight training and become a flight officer and pilot.

There is also a need for skilled officers to coordinate and manage the ships massive defense systems and weapon stations. The ISD packs over 120 gun turrets and several beam tractorbeam projectors.
